	Nipa Hut on Buntod Reef in Masbate Philippines If you ever get a chance to visit Masbate then you must see the undisturbed Buntod Reef. This reef is located about 30 minutes by small boat from the port of Masbate which is located in Masbate City. This images shows the large Nipa Hut located near the reef. The sand bar reef is only visable in low tide and goes underwater in high tide but the Hut is always above water because of the high stilts. You can expect to see exceptionally clear blue water on this Buntod Reef. I was told that permission was needed before you visit this Reef but when i arrived there via a small charted boat it seemed otherwise. I think its best that if you are a foreigner that you do let the Mayors office of Masbate City know when you plan to visit. I strongly suggest that you visit this Reef during low tide and on calm weather days. Bring your swim wear and sun protectoin.
